Meet the Principal

Meet the Principal: Mrs. Relyea

Relyea

My name is Elisabeth (Liz) Relyea and I am very proud to be the principal of your school. My first couple of years here have certainly been full of excitement! We have navigated many challenges together, and I am thankful to be a member of the McAllister school community.

I grew up in the Hudson Valley and graduated from Red Hook High School. I continued my education at Marist College (Poughkeepsie, NY) with a Bachelors in Spanish and Adolescent Education. I began teaching Spanish in New Hartford Central School District where I taught 5th-9th grade Spanish. While working, I completed a Masters in Educational Psychology from Marist College and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from SUNY Cortland. Upon completion of my internship at Perry Junior High School, I was hired as their Dean of Students.

My husband, Ross, is a VVS graduate and a Lieutenant with the City of Oneida Fire Department. We have two children, Hunter and Tucker, and one Boxer, Harley. We love the community of Sherrill and the people that make it so welcoming. When I am not working I enjoy traveling, cooking, baking, and entertaining. I like to make sure people are fed, happy, and laughing!

I look forward to continuing on this journey with you as part of the E.A. McAllister Elementary team. I am confident that we will work through any challenges together to provide a great experience for our students. Please do not hesitate to reach out!

Thank you,

Mrs. Elisabeth Relyea
