Mrs. Carrie Hodkinson
Prior to VVS, I was a fifth grade teacher for five years and also served as assistant principal for Madison-Oneida BOCES Summer School for two years. I spent five years as the assistant principal at VVS High School, before accepting the position of principal at the Middle School. As a graduate of Canastota High School, I did my undergraduate work in elementary education at SUNY Oneonta and received a Master’s Degree in Special Education at Touro College. I earned my Administrative Certificate from SUNY Cortland. I am a proud wife and mother of two children.
The Middle School years are often a trying time for students as some enter an unfamiliar building to meet new teachers and classmates as well as undergoing physical and mental growth. I want to continue to improve upon the transitions that middle school students undergo. I believe that my time spent at the elementary and high school levels will help. I know what the skills are that elementary students arrive with and what skills that middle school students will need as they enter high school.
