Dr. Maggie Bristol, Ed.D.
I am excited to be in my 6th year at VVS, and 15th overall teaching! I am originally from Liverpool, NY. I received my bachelor's degree from Medaille College in Buffalo, NY and my Master's in Reading and Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, North Carolina. I love the outdoors, spending time with friends, photography, sports (particularly the Yankees and SU Orange - of course!), going to the beach, and I am a HUGE music fan.
Currently, I am the New York State representative for the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, which is the is the preeminent organization empowering, supporting, and honoring our nation’s 5.5 million military caregivers; the spouses, parents, family members, and friends who care for America’s wounded, ill, or injured veterans. I am also a board member with NAMI Syracuse (National Alliance on Mental Illness), and an adjunct professor at Jefferson Community College.
During my eight years in North Carolina, I was a fourth grade teacher with the Public Schools of Robeson County. I served as a grade chair, mentor, and presenter. I was also very involved in the district as well as our community; as an EMT-Intermediate volunteer with the Lumberton Rescue and EMS Unit, part-time employment with Stephens Vineyard, and I was a coach with the Lumberton Recreation Department.
I have been married to Mr. Bristol since November 5, 2011. We reside in Phoenix, NY with our son Jack, and furry children; Ranger, Tigger, Tiger, and Aphrodite.
