• Welcome to my meet the teacher page! My name is  Dave Vassenelli and I have taught my entire career in the V-V-S school district.  I have taught second grade, first grade and provided AIS reading intervention instruction to students in grades K-6. The majority of my career has involved teaching kindergarten!  I am also proud to say that my entire teaching career has been spent at J.D. George Elementary School.
I was born and raised in Syracuse, New York and currently live in Liverpool, New York. I am a graduate of Corcoran high school, Niagara University, LeMoyne College and SUNY Cortland.

A few of my interests include getting outside for walks or bike rides, hitting the weights at the gym, watching movies and spending time with family and friends. My favorite sports include football, baseball, hockey and wrestling.

The most rewarding aspect of teaching, in my opinion, is being able to develop a rapport with each student that fosters  a fun, rewarding experience that contributes to the learning and progress made during a schoolyear!
