• My Philosophy of Grading:

    I believe that a grade should accurately represent what students have learned and are able to show on performance assessments based on their level of mastery of the designated district and state standards.  Grades should be a tool utilized to promote learning achievement and academic growth.  By providing my students with a safe learning environment, encouraging risk taking, along with the skills and knowledge needed to be successful, report card averages are a solid indicator of individual student growth toward grade level standards and their state test performance.
