M.S. Ed. in Adapted Physical Education from The College at Brockport, State University of New York
Interests & Hobbies: I love to travel and will do just about anything if it's outside! Running, backpacking, volleyball, and bouldering are among some of my absolute favorite ways to stay active. On a rainy day, I like to paint or draw and bake or cook for friends and family!
FUN FACT: Miss Fortier has spent multiple days exploring new and exciting outdoor terrains. In summer of 2016 I spent 10 days backpacking from Vancouver, British Columbia to Banff, Alberta; stopping along the way in Whistler, Kelowna, Lake Louise and Jasper to hike 9,000-foot mountains, zipline through the trees, whitewater raft on class 4 rapids and walk on a glacier. In summer of 2017, I spent 14 days backpacking through three US National Parks in California; I saw bears, climbed mountains and domes, scaled trails alongside waterfalls, swam in alpine lakes and slept under the stars every night!
