Philosophy of Education
I believe that all students have the ability to learn. As their teacher, it is my responsibility to teach them not only academics, but age-appropriate socialization skills—all in a manner best suited to their unique learning style. I feel clear expectations need to be set for students, urging them on to excellence and creativity, while at the same time fostering a desire to invest in their own education. This is especially true for reluctant and learning disabled students, as well as for English Language Learners.
As an English as a New Language and Resource Room teacher, I do not assign grades. Your child's other teachers will assign report card grades.
